Unraveling Backrack: The Secret to Pain-Free LivingThe Backrack is a decompression device designed to provide relief from back pain. It is made of wood and has several rows with two nodules attached to each, forming a canal in the middle where your spine would fit. The nodules fit between each vertebra and gently massage and push them back into their natural place, reversing the root cause of most back problems – spinal compression. To use the Backrack, you simply lie down on it and perform a special program of exercises. The movements resulting from these exercises decompress your spine. The Backrack works on the whole spine, including the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions, and can treat not just the symptoms but the root causes of back pain. The Backrack is safe to use at home without supervision and provides a comfortable and effective way to get back pain relief in the comfort of your own home.If you want to learn more about how the Backrack works, please visit the “HOW DOES IT WORK?” section. For a more detailed breakdown of how the Backrack works, please click HERE.

Sciatica

Sciatica is the name given to the pinching of the sciatic nerve, which is located in the lower back, and runs down the back of each leg.

People who suffer from this issue tend to initially develop sciatica when the sciatic nerve becomes irritated due to spinal compression. As such, by treating the root cause – spinal compression – sciatic nerve pain shall go away as a result.

Relieving sciatic nerve pain is something that the Backrack excels at.

Lower back pain

Lower back pain is pain that occurs in the lumbar region of the spine. Some reasons for this type of pain include disc problems, such as disc herniation or degeneration, spinal stenosis, nerve pinching, muscle strain, spinal compression, or even non-specific causes.

Herniated or ruptured disc

When a disc becomes injured, its soft inner contents can spill through the crack that has formed in the outer shell of the disc, and press against other nearby structures, such as spinal nerves. In many cases, a herniated disc and sciatica, or simply a pinched nerve, go hand-in-hand.

By allowing your disc to heal first, it is likely that the pain or any other symptoms you are feeling along your back or neck will also go away.

Hip Pain

Hip pain can be caused by issues such as an injury to this region, arthritis, overexertion, or inflammation, but in some cases the pain you feel in your hip may be referred (spreading) from somewhere else.

Because of its proximity, the sciatica nerve can sometimes cause pain that is felt in the hip, or even legs, if it becomes pinched.

Iliac crest pain

The iliac crest is located in the hip bone, and it is the top part of the pelvic bone on each side of the back of your hips.

Pain in this region typically occurs from a tear in the iliolumbar ligament. The tear can happen from a trauma like a hard fall, car accident, twisting the spine in uncomfortable angles, pregnancy, childbirth, even sexual activities, as well as weak core muscles, abdominal muscles and back muscles.

Leg Pain

Apart from local factors leg pain may also be caused by problems in the lower back, such as sciatica, ankylosing spondylitis and disc problems. This happens because pain can travel from the lower back down the leg, especially when it comes to sciatica, as the sciatic nerve runs down the back of each leg.

Neck pain & Headache

Problems in the cervical spine (upper region of the spine) can cause not only neck pain, but also headaches, and even dizziness. The type of headaches that are associated with spinal issues are referred to as cervicogenic headaches. By treating the problem in the cervical spine, both neck pain and headaches shall subside.

Here are some of the frequently asked questions we get from people:
1.Who is the Backrack for?

The Backrackâ„¢ is for anybody that suffers from cervical (neck pain), thoracic (middle back), lumbar pain (lower back pain) or any of the symptoms associated with it.

2.How does the Backrack work?

All back pain is caused by bone deformity directly linked to compression. This is when your spine becomes squashed or shortened from its natural length.

Backrack™ works directly on the cause of back pain by decompressing your spine. By treating the cause rather than just the symptoms, you can banish back pain – for good. It has a unique concept and application in back care that ensures back pain relief.

3.What causes back pain?

A number of significant factors can be named as ageing, genetics, work hazards, lifestyle, obesity, posture, pregnancy, and smoking. If these don’t surprise you then this will; you can even encounter a back pain with none of these risk factors. Prior prevention is the only element in such factors that can help.

Ageing
Ageing over time is itself a factor for some patients. Wear and tear to the spine can lead to conditions like disc degeneration and spinal stenosis. This is followed by neck and back pain. That clearly means younger people are at lesser risk than individuals over the age ageing over 30 or 40. Disc-related disorders are commonly observed in patients ageing from 30 to 60.

Genetics
Genetics are crucial in identifying back pains. The genetic component is evident in some of the spinal disorders. Degenerative disc disease is observed to have an inherited component when we talk about genetics.

Occupational Hazards
There are some jobs that follow a hazardous routine. It includes repetitive bending and lifting. People doing such jobs are at a high-risk factor for back related injuries. These may usually include professions like construction work, nursing, and few more. There is also an exception of higher risks of back pain to people who has a poor posture. That have longer job hours while constantly standing (a barber) or sitting back on a chair (software developer).

Sedentary Lifestyle
People with no or less physical activity are at the brink of back pain too. The occurrence of the pain becomes likely due to lack of regular exercise. Such patients develop severity of the pain than usual patients.

Excess Weight
Being overweight is a major contributor towards back pain by increasing stress on the back and other joints. That may lead to further side effects for special category back pain symptoms.

4.What can go wrong with the lower spine?

Bending and twisting of everyday life activities is only possible due to a healthy working spine. The spine is a weightlifter of the upper body.

While flexing and rotating of the hips while walking is controlled by muscles in the lower back. These also support the human spinal column. Legs, feet, and pelvis get their sensations and power from nerves down the lower back. Injury to the ligaments, joints, discs or muscle tension may result in chronic low back pain that can further make the pain worse. The result of an injury sends a healing response to the body through mobilizing. This inflammation might be healing but can cause severe pain that will need immediate medical advice.

Due to a large network of nerves overlapping it becomes difficult for the brain alone to realize the exact cause of the pain. This due to a large system that includes the formation of discs, muscles, and ligaments.

Consequently sensing becomes difficult for the brain. For example, sciatica pain is a type of acute low back pain caused due to a problem to the sciatic nerve (a large nerve running down hips and back of the leg). Inflammation may come from this pain or a pulled muscle in the same area.

Muscles and ligaments usually heal rapidly but sciatica pain relief may be difficult to maintain. The course of time determines how the doctor is going to treat back pain.

There are many things that can go wrong with the spine, but, in essence, up to 98% of all back pain is either caused by, or directly linked to, compression. That is the term used to describe the spine when it becomes squashed, or shortened from its natural length.

5.How will I know which exercises to perform?

Each Backrack comes with a User’s Manual that includes over 50 exercises to perform for your spine, guiding you on how to perform each movement.

Additionally, you get a FREE 30-minutes 1:1 session with our specialist to learn how to use it correctly for your specific condition.

If you still need help, there are several video guides available on our YouTube page, demonstrating step-by-step how to do various exercises on the Backrack.

6.I suffer from more than one of the listed conditions. Will the Backrack help?

Whether you suffer from more than one conditions that affect one region of the spine, or you suffer from multiple spinal issues spread across its length, the Backrack can be of great help as it covers the entire spine.

7.I have previously undergone spinal surgery. Can I still use the Backrack?

The Backrack can be used in this situation provided that at least 6 months have passed since the surgery.

8.Are there any contraindications to using the Backrack?

Before using the Backrack device please take note of the following contraindications to make sure it is safe for you to use. Do NOT use the Backrack if you:

Understanding Back Pain

Back pain often stems from spinal compression, leading to tears in discs, misalignment of vertebrae, and pinched nerves. While aging contributes to gradual wear-and-tear, sudden compression can occur regardless of age.

The Backrack targets the root cause, reversing spinal compression through simple exercises, addressing pain at its source.
